Discover Burn Brae Lodge

A traditional care home built on traditional values

Welcome to Burn Brae Lodge, where we offer exceptional care based on traditional values. We are a family-owned and run Care Home and proud of our care team who are committed to ensuring a safe, caring, comfortable and happy environment for all our residents.

We're at the top of Prospect Hill in Corbridge with magnificent views over the Tyne Valley. Parts of the Home date back to Victorian times while others have been added more recently.

This is a Home which feels like a home, which is probably why 100% of relatives in all our surveys say they would recommend us to others.

Who we care for

Our youngest resident was 58 when she arrived and our eldest 104. Whatever the age or whatever the level of care required, we believe that Burn Brae Lodge is able to provide a comforting and secure environment.
We welcome people who fund themselves independently as well as those funded through the Local Authority. Short-term placements and respite care are also available, and very often this is how residents and their families make sure that residential care is the right next step for them.  A room specifically for this can be booked in advance.

Why not come and see us?  We welcome visits to the home from relatives and prospective residents so feel free to phone and make an appointment or just drop in to see what facilities we provide.  All we ask is that you try to avoid arriving at mealtimes, as we’d like to give you our full attention.

Choosing a Care Home

We appreciate that choosing a Care Home is never easy.  We have every confidence that if you choose Burn Brae Lodge you will not be disappointed.

We know what a difficult time it can be as both our parents became residents at Burn Brae Lodge.

We are motivated by a desire to deliver excellent, individual care.  We want our residents to feel at home and so we encourage them and their families to make their rooms as homely as possible. And we want them to celebrate memories, as well as create new ones.
